It's a red exclamation mark created for the us...

Labor Day weekend is coming. Can you use those three days to write an entire novel? That’s the challenge posed by the International 3-Day Novel Contest, now in it’s 34th year.

Unlike NaNoWriMo, where contestants attempt to write 50,000 words during the month of November, there are no length limits for a 3-day novel. Note, however, that length is one consideration used in judging.

The contest has an entry fee and you must register by Friday, September 2nd to be eligible for prizes which include:

  • Grand Prize: Publication by 3-Day Books
  • 2nd prize: $500
  • 3rd prize $100

You can read the complete rules, survival tips, and find the answers to FAQs  on the 3-Day Novel website.
