What will you write about this month? If you need some ideas to get the creative juices flowing, try one of these writing sparks. Use the ideas individually, or mix and match them as your muse sees fit.
Query Spark: Though the regular calendar is screaming back-to-school, many publications have editorial calendars with spring break slots to fill. think road trips, boredom busters and rainy day fun.
Character Spark: This month’s character inspiration comes from K.T. Tunstall’s song, “Suddenly I See” from the album, Eye to the Telescope:
“She fills up every corner like she’s born in black and white.”
Story Spark: Your main character found a discarded shopping list. The list spells trouble. You decide what’s on the list and how it complicates the character’s life.
Setting Spark: Write a whole story set in a waiting room.
