Hello fellow writers!
If it’s Friday, it must mean it’s time for another weekend writing assignment. This week I’ve had several friends upgrade their phones. It’s always fun to see what they’ve picked out for themselves and what add-ons they choose.
Back in the dark ages, a phone was just a means to communicate without having to travel somewhere. Now a phone is also an organizer, alarm clock, camera, game system… the list goes on and on. Our phones have become an extension of who we are. What we use them for says a lot about us. Which brings us to this week’s assignment.
Write about the cell phone that belongs to your character. Is it a smart phone? Is it a burn phone? What color is it? Does you character have a love/hate relationship with it? Write a scene using the cell phone as a way to show a different facet of your character.
For those of you who prefer to write nonfiction, write an essay about your relationship with your cell phone. What does it say about you?
Happy Writing!
