Flip This Book

I admit it, I loved finding GOODNIGHT iPAD on the shelves of my local bookstore, and it’s no secret I have a fondness for remakes like Alice in Zombieland. So, it should come as no surprise that I have a soft spot for the goofy humor of projects like these sci-fi  adaptations of children’s books presented on CollegeHumor.com.

I also believe that many new creative ideas rise to the top because someone took a look at what had already been done and said: “Hey, I can make fun of that!”

To that end, this weekend’s writing assignment is a challenge for you to look at any book (children’s, adult, nonfiction, or fiction) and come up with a creative way to spoof it. If you need some more inspiration, CollegeHumor.com also has a post about Sci-Fi Ikea Manuals. Or you can try a quick search on google by clicking this link.

Plant your tongue firmly in cheek, take up your pencil or keyboard, and get writing!
